My Philosophy

As a young woman growing up in modern society, what to eat, how to eat, and where to eat can be a confusing and tricky road to navigate. From a young age, through the media and those around me I began to see that food had become the ultimate paradox. Physically, we literally cannot survive without external sustenance, yet I began to see the struggle of those around me trying to survive on as little low quality food as possible. For example; why choose a low-fat, highly processed, sugary yogurt that will only raise your blood pressure long enough to fuel you for maybe an hour, when you could sustain your body with a whole fat greek yogurt, fresh organic berries, and fresh out of the oven whole-grain granola? This way of eating didn't make sense to me.

I began to explore how different cultures around the world ate, how our ancestors ate, how those that grew and harvested their own food ate, and I started to see a drastic difference in their quality of life. It seemed that the more wholesome, fresh, and locally grown and harvested food that was consumed, the more the quality of life would improve.

My goal is to help others get back to a more natural way of eating, a leisurely, relaxed, non-stressful way of consuming food that not only nourishes the body, but the mind and soul as well.
